The Brahmagiri mountain (where the holy river Ganges originates) and the Kushavarta Kund (the holy pond) are in the premises of Trimbakeshwar, Nashik.
Kushavart Kund is built by Shrimant Sardar Raosaheb Parnekar. Who was known as Fadnavis of Indore city. And the present Trimbakeshwar temple is built by Shrimant Nanasaheb Peshwa in 1755-1786.
