Nitrogen Fixation takes place in a wide variety of bacteria, the best known of which is rhizobium which is found in nodules on the roots of leguminous plants such as peas, beans, soy, and clover. Nitrogen Fixing bacteria stimulate the growth of plants that are grown mostly in dry soil, accelerate fruit ripening by stimulating the fruit’s Abscisic Acid, regulate the host plant defenses system against pests and diseases.
