New York’s Metropolitan Museum to Get $125 Million upgrade - Lionel Nazarian The Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York City, one of the city’s most popular tourist attractions, announced that it received a $125 million donation from art connoisseurs and collectors, Oscar Tang and Agnes Hsu-Tang. The large donation is a record contribution in the history of the museum, making it the biggest monetary donation ever in its 151 years and will be attributed to the renovation of the Modern Wing of the museum. The Modern Wing is expected to increase to 80,000 square feet, which will include both galleries and public areas. The renovation will be renamed after the couple, the Oscar L. Tang and H.M. Agnes Hsu-Tang Wing.
