Even though it may seem absurd, most medical professionals in the United States still use medical uniforms. This means that they don't feel the need to wear anything but a white sheet covering their bodies. They have more important matters to worry about than what the nurses, doctors, and emergency room staff are wearing. Let's face, there's no difference between the scrubs or the white sheet.
