AG&P Pratham is investing Rs 80 billion to expand its city gas distribution network, aiming to serve more than 150 million customers across India. The company has already invested $1 billion in its infrastructure, with another $1 billion planned for the coming years. A critical element of this expansion is the acquisition of the Jaigarh LNG terminal from Darshan Hiranandani’s H-Energy. The acquisition will significantly enhance AG&P’s LNG distribution capacity, enabling the company to provide cleaner energy solutions across domestic, commercial, and industrial sectors. AG&P is also expanding its network of CNG stations, which will increase from 460 to 800 over the next few years. The company’s investment focuses on regions like South India, Bhopal, and Madhya Pradesh, where the demand for natural gas is growing rapidly. With this strategic expansion, AG&P Pratham is positioned to become a leader in India’s city gas distribution industry.
