There is not much to do up in beautiful Calgary, Alberta Canada....except maybe freeze. This time of year it usually starts getting warmer...It's now a mild -17 C (or around 0 F this time of year). But with the Calgary Flames making it into the Playoffs once again, suddenly temperatures have gotten much higher than the national average.

It's Calgary Flames Girls time. Years back when the Flames made it into the Finals, Calgary came alive. In fact, all of Alberta exploded (as did various website servers hosting images of the scantily clad female Flames fans).

Outside of a 10 day rodeo where Calgary residents pretend to be cowboys (really just an excuse to drink and party), the only other true festivities come from celebrations brought on when the Flames make it into the Playoffs as they have managed to do this year. *Note: Sports911.com is located just south of Calgary and our own Ean Bull has been known to get a little rowdy with the rest of the gang during this time of year when the Flames have been successful.

BetCRIS.com offered Calgary with an opening round series price of +425 vs the favored Detroit Red Wings heading into Sunday April 15.

So many of the websites that offered up helpings of hot Flames Girls have since....well.....gone up in flames.

Hopefully a whole new breed of Flames Girls will reappear. But in the mean time....Enjoy!
