Idiopathic Short Stature is a disorder affecting a child's height, essentially the child is healthy but is not growing to their expected height. There can be many causes for this; such as trauma, medication, stress, eating habits but the exact cause is not exactly known. Idiopathic short stature is considered a clinical description instead of a disease. Specialists use ISS as a way to describe kids with a visible height difference but an unknown cause.
