A DevOps Engineer is an IT professional who manages code releases alongside software developers, system operators, and other production IT staff. DevOps must be able to communicate and collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams. The DevOps methodology necessitates frequent, incremental changes to code versions, as well as frequent deployment and testing regimens. Although DevOps engineers must occasionally code from scratch, they must understand the fundamentals of software development languages. A DevOps engineer will collaborate with development team members to complete the coding and scripting required to link code elements such as libraries or software development kits.
