The American High School Diploma awarded to the students, after the completion of four years (grade 9 to 12 ), is accredited by the Northwest Accreditation Commission(NWAC).It has been operational in India since 2012.The American High School Diploma is awarded through Higher Secondary Level Program (HSLP) providing choices to the students amongst streams such as science , commerce and humanities. In India nearly 16000 students are enrolled into the American high school diploma program. Students are evaluated on the basis of grade system known as the Grade Point Average (GPA) ranging from A-F scale where A is the highest and F is the lowest grade. Each grade has a value between 1 and 4. Students who excel in a particular subject during High school will have the opportunity to take Advance Placement Classes. The minimum credit required by a student to pass the examination is seven credits i.e one credit for each subject where a credit comprises of 180 learning hours.
