Psychoeducation is a type of education that is specially provided to those who are suffering from one of several different mental health issues. The desired goal of Psychoeducation Counseling is to provide persons suffering from psychiatric problems with a firmer foundation of information about how to survive and flourish. Anxiety disorders, personality disorders, psychotic diseases, bipolar disorder, and clinical depression are all examples of psychological ailments that can be helped through psychological education programs. The individual's family and immediate social network are strongly urged to be part of the process. The purpose of Psychoeducation Counseling is not to entirely cure the disease, but rather to provide the individual suffering from it with a better road map to optimal functioning.
