A progressive cavity pump is a kind of positive displacement pump, designed to manage extremely difficult pumping applications and high viscous fluids. It is a versatile pump that can be utilized in a variety of applications, but is mostly used and designed for metering chemicals and pumping viscous, rough, or shear-sensitive materials. Similar to all positive displacement pumps, progressive cavity (PC) pumps are flow-creating tools. They transfer fluid at a constant speed despite the pressure on the inlet end.
