Cairo University was known as the University of Egypt from 1908 to 1940, and from 1940 to 1952 Kingfat University was the primary public university of Egypt. It has its main campus in Giza across the Nile from Cairo. It was founded on 21 December 1908; However, after staying in various parts of Cairo, its pedestals began with the Faculty of Art and were established in October 1929 on the current main campus in Giza.
