Give a lease on Life to Thalassemia Patients. Venue: Mount Litera School International, BKC Time: 11:30 am to 6:30 pm Thalassemia is a genetic condition, in which a patient's body is unable to produce enough Haemoglobin, a chemical in our blood, which transports oxygen around the body. Therefore, these patients require blood transfusions every 15 to 20 days and for some of them, this can be a matter of life and death. Lisa DasGupta, MLSI student of Grade 10 wants to spread awareness about this. In order to do this, she is collaborating with The Wishing Factory and hosting a Blood Donation drive for those suffering from Thalassemia. The health benefits of donating blood are considerable—but of course, the most important part of the drive-in one school is to help save lives. We urge you all to be a part of this unique blood donation drive at Mount Litera School International on 4th of October, 2019 between 11:30 am to 6:30 pm. We have thought about all the aspects of safety during the blood collection. Samarpan Blood Bank will provide professional nurses, staff and assistance in order to look into every single aspect of safety ensuring a smooth process Register here:https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdTLdUy5ov3tp4CqTfhFZcy21_hXm9jy6wdSrSGLn33XuGChQ/viewform
