The technique known as power over Ethernet (PoE) lighting enables the transfer of data and electricity via Ethernet wires. PoE lighting eliminates the need for separate power cords by supplying lighting fixtures with electricity over conventional Ethernet cables. This technology allows data communication between lighting fixtures and control systems and makes use of the current network infrastructure to supply electricity to lighting devices like LEDs or bulbs. By lowering the capital expenditure and maximizing the project's return on investment, this strategy helps the user.
