A diet that is nutritious can reduce the probability of developing some health problems, and forming good habits now can avoid the need for future abrupt changes. Many eating habits are formed during infancy, including both good and unhealthy ones. Examples of healthy eating habits involve having a water bottle and adding tomatoes and lettuce to sandwiches. Frequently, we don't confront these engrained patterns until a medical report suggesting high blood pressure, cholesterol, or sugar levels prompts us to do so. It is, however, never too late to begin to adopt healthy eating practices. Even without a particular diagnosis, improving one's diet can dramatically reduce the chance of developing chronic illnesses.
