Natural language processing (NLP) is one of the most intriguing fields. Unstructured text analysis used to be difficult, but AI algorithms with human-level language understanding, such as Google's BARD and Open AI's GPT-4, now make it possible to handle text data for sentiment analysis, topic extraction, summarization, and other purposes. For instance, The New York Times utilizes NLP to suggest relevant stories based on text semantics, while JP Morgan uses it to contextually analyze earnings calls to provide trading recommendations.
