An Air dryer unit typically consists of a compressed air inlet, a desiccant or refrigeration system, and an outlet for dry air. Desiccant air dryers use a material that attracts and absorbs moisture, such as silica gel, activated alumina, or molecular sieves. Refrigeration air dryers, on the other hand, use a cooling system to condense the moisture in the air and remove it as liquid water.
