A cuticle nipper is a little tool that is used to trim or cut back the cuticles that are located on the fingernails or toenails. This can be done with either the fingernails or the toenails. The typical material for the construction of these implements is a hardy metal such as stainless steel. They come with a handle that has two prongs and is designed to rest in the palm of your hand. A metal jaw with sharp edges is attached to the end of a cuticle nipper. This jaw’s purpose is to grip and chop away extra skin that is located around the cuticle. The depth of the jaw is often less than or equal to one inch (approximately 2.5 cm).
