Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Mohali is one of the IISERs set up by the Indian Government's MHRD. In fact there are seven IISERs. They are located in Thiruvananthapuram, Bhopal, Pune, Kolkata, Mohali, Tirupati, Berhampur. Additionally they were set by the recommendation by the Scientific Advisory Council.
