The Flag of Czech Republic was received without precedent for 1920, at the appearance of Czechoslovakia, and again in 1993, when the nation was isolated into two independent states, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The appropriation of the flag of Czechoslovakia in 1993 by the Czech Republic contradicts partition agreements between the two countries, however the Czech Republic contended that the blue tone was identified with the region of Moravia, which is at the beginning of the country.
