The Andorra Flag was authoritatively received in 1866 and normalized in July 1993 when they joined the United Nations. The Flag highlights three equivalent vertical bands of blue, yellow, and red with the national emblem focused in the yellow band. Those tones are said to represent Andorra's autonomy from both France and Spain, with blue and red from France, Flag of Andorra and the red and yellow from Spain. The authority width proportion of the three stripes is 8:9:8 for the blue, yellow, and red stripes, respectively with a level square shape plan with a length-width proportion of 10:7.
