CORROSION RESISTANT STEEL (CRS): DYTRON is manufactured by hot rolling through Quenching & Self Tempering (QST) process and not by cold twisting. DYTRON QST CRS is made using a speci’c combination of corrosion resistant elements like Cu, P and Cr. The combination gives the bars a homogeneous microstructure of corrosion resistant elements keeping the core and surface free from any torsional stress and thus slowing down the corrosion process. The best advantage of using DYTRON QST CRS is that there is no need of additional care to be taken during handling, fabrication and transporting. Chemical Properties Chart SEISMIC RESISTANCE: DYTRON New Age Rebars have the ability absorb large amount of energy and shock released during the earthquakes / seismic activities thus avoiding catastrophy. It is necessary that even when the stress exceeds the yield strength of the bar, it should not exceed the tensile strength of the bar, otherwise, the structure will collapse. Such rebars have high elongation and ductility and can thus be deformed to a much larger extent without breaking. A combination of very specific balance of Carbon, Sulphur and Phosphorus and stringent quenching parameters are used to develop the desired properties along with a highly prominent rib pattern. BENDABILITY: Most people are not aware of the importance of ductility in rebars, all they care about is the high tensile strength. While high strength increases the capability to withstand more load of the structure, ductility determines the capacity of bending. DYTRONs production process gives our new age rebars a tougher outer surface and soft core thus increasing bendability, also making it more suitable to adapt to building designs, allowing engineers and contractors easy working at construction sites. WELDABILITY: DYTRON New age Rebars have low carbon properties thus increasing weldability of the bar without compromising on the strength at the joints. It can be welded in both butt and lap procedures. FIRE RESISTANCE: Fires significantly affect the structural integrity of a building structure. DYTRON QST bars have high thermal stability and can thus withstand higher temperatures thus ensuring safety. BONDING: In its simplest form, it can be said that the resistance to separation of mortar and concrete from reinforcing steel with which it is in contact is called bond strength.
