The ClariVein procedure, also known as mechanically-driven chemical ablation, is an FDA-approved, minimally invasive treatment for varicose veins that combines a rotating wire catheter with a sclerosant. The catheter’s 360° motion both mechanically agitates and chemically seals the vein, all under ultrasound guidance—no incisions, heat, or extensive anesthesia required. Performed as an outpatient procedure, it takes just 20–30 minutes and is virtually painless, with minimal discomfort and downtime.
