Swift is easier to read and easier to learn than Objective-C. Objective-C is over thirty years old, and that means it has a more clunky syntax. Apple released Swift, a new programming language for iOS mobile apps, in 2014, giving iOS developers an alternative to Objective-C, an object-oriented superset of the C programming language that had previously served as the foundation of iOS development.
