Sage Essential Oil is extracted from the leaves of Slavia Officinalis, through Steam Distillation. It belongs to the Lamiaceae family of Plant kingdom and also known as True Sage. It is native to Mediterranean Basin and now grown all around the world. It has been used since decades and ancient Romans considered it as, ‘Holy Herb’ and used sage in religious rituals. It has been used for Culinary as well as Medicinal Purpose. It was made into teas and drinks to treat flu and fever. It was also believed to ward off or protect against evil. It is also commonly known as Common Sage, True Sage, Garden Sage, and Dalmatian Sage.
