Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana or (PMAY) is a program by Government of India in which affordable housing will be offered to the urban poor with a target of building 20 million inexpensive houses by 31 March 2022] It has two sections namely, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for urban poor also known as PMAY-U and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin/ruler known as PMAY-G and PMAY-R for the rural poor.
