Hashtags (pronounced hash-tags) are keywords or phrases preceded by the pound sign (“#”). Hashtags are used within a post on social media to categorize topics. Clicking on a hashtagged word in a post brings up a feed of other content that has been marked with that same tag. This allows people to easily find relevant content on social media.
