Diabetes and high cholesterol: what’s the connection? Many people do not know that diabetes can increase cholesterol problems even when blood sugar seems controlled. Foods rich in fiber, vegetables, fruits, legumes, and whole grains are helpful, while fried and processed foods should be reduced.
