Commonly known as chebulic myrobalan, Terminalia chebula is a species of Terminalia. Native to South Asia, southwest China, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and Malaysia, it is a deciduous tree with a height of 98 feet. It has oval leaves and white to yellowish flowers. It bears an unpleasant odour with yellow to orange-brown colour fruits. It has a rich content of terflavin B and chebulinic acid.
