Cellulite is the term used to describe dimpled, lumpy skin that develops on the hips, thighs, buttocks, and belly. While it is most common in adolescent and adult women, anyone can develop cellulite. While the exact cause is still unknown, the condition is thought to be the result of an interaction between connective tissues within the dermatological layer beneath the skin and the layer of fat just below it. Over the years, there has been much discussion about cellulite and how to treat it.
