It’s true that upgrading to LEDs isn’t always a simple “plug-and-play” affair. The most common challenge you’ll encounter is hyperflash, where your turn signals flash at double speed. This happens because LEDs draw much less current than incandescent bulbs, and the bike’s stock flasher relay interprets this lower draw as a burnt-out bulb . Fortunately, this is easily remedied. You have two main options: install an LED-specific flasher relay for a simple, plug-and-play fix , or wire load resistors in parallel with each new indicator to mimic the electrical load of the old bulbs . Many quality LED kits also include the necessary resistors to solve this problem straight out of the box .
