Wisdom teeth can cause serious oral health problems when there isn’t enough room for them to grow properly. Common warning signs include pain at the back of the mouth, swollen or bleeding gums, jaw stiffness, headaches, bad breath, and difficulty chewing. Impacted or partially erupted wisdom teeth may also lead to infection or damage to nearby teeth. Early dental evaluation can help prevent complications and determine whether wisdom tooth removal is necessary.
