Detangling: Always use a wide-tooth comb or a wig brush with flexible, plastic bristles. Start detangling from the very ends, gradually working your way up to the roots while holding the hair at the top to minimize tension on the cap. Heat Styling: While human hair can be styled with heat tools, exercise restraint. Always apply a heat protectant spray beforehand. Use tools with adjustable temperature settings and never exceed 350°F (180°C). Curling and flat ironing should be done on completely dry hair. Nighttime Care: Don't sleep in your wig. The friction against the pillowcase can cause severe tangling and breakage. Instead, store it on a wig stand. For short trips, a silk or satin-lined bag will protect it from dust and tangles.
