Surgeons use a variety of surgical instruments for complex operations. Therefore, they must pay close attention to choosing the right instrument for each operation. In a clinic or operating room you may find several instruments with the same shape. In reality, however, they are not identical. Each instrument is slightly different and designed for a specific procedure. For example, tweezers and hemostatic forceps are very similar in shape, but surgeons use them for different tasks during surgery.
