Royal Challengers Bangalore are set to utilize Virat Kohli as an opener at the top along with Devdutt Padikkal for IPL 2021. Mike Hesson in a video posted by the official social media of Bangalore team revealed the same.

On Opening Pair
Mike Hesson, RCB's Director of Cricket Operations, informed, "We talked about this (Virat opening for RCB) before the auction. It came to our auction planning on how to structure our lineup. So, certainly no surprise there." In a video posted by Royal Challengers Bangalore, Hesson added, "I'm delighted that he got an opportunity to open for India and show everybody what he is capable of. We certainly know that. It was just a reminder for everybody."
