Project schedule delays and supply chain disruptions brought on by the COVID-19 outbreak have affected the Saudi Arabian renewable energy market. It has become more difficult to build projects and bring in necessary supplies for renewable energy projects because of travel restrictions and social distancing measures. Moreover, budgetary restrictions and a decrease in funding for renewable energy projects have been brought about by the pandemic's economic downturn. The need for renewable energy to provide economic resilience is being increasingly acknowledged, though, and this could propel industry expansion going forward.
