The Otocin-C Ear Drop is made up of four different medications. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic that prevents bacteria from growing. It accomplishes this by inhibiting the creation of key proteins that bacteria require to carry out their activity. This does not kill the bacteria directly, but it does keep them from multiplying and finally clears the infection.
