Melt Flow Rate Tester Labotronics melt flow rate tester is a microprocessor-controlled system.It can access both manual and automatic test methods, with the confirmation to the ASTM D1238 international testing standard. It heats the polymer at the temperature range 80 °C ~ 400 °C.The piston exerts a constant load on the molten polymer, then it is forced through the standardized die (orifice) at the bottom of the heating barrel. Extruded molten polymer is collected and weighed over a specified time period, giving the mass flow rate.
