Mehrangarh Fort a grand fort built by Rao Jodha in 1459. Standing proudly at 400 feet on a perpendicular cliff above the skyline of Jodhpur city and surrounded by thick big walls, which makes it one of the invincible fort. The Fort is enclosed by seven gates known as pols, including Jayapol, Fattehpol, Loha Pol, etc. The Mehrangarh fort is one of the largest forts in India also a well-preserved historical heritage. Every day tons of visitors come to witness the amazing architecture and great workmanship of this Grand fort. The impact marks of the cannons fired by attacking the army of Jaipur can still be seen at the second gate.
