Kosher is slang for OK or CORRECT and refers to anything that is considered clean or suitable to eat by Jewish dietary guidelines. It is the food that satisfies the Jewish law requirement. A kosher label can be applied to a food product or beverage if all of the ingredients, food additives, colourants, preservatives, processes, equipment, and methods are entirely comply with Kosher requirements. Before any organisation can use the Kosher logo, the Rabbi must first approve the production procedure. Kosher laws are so tight that if equipment used to make non-kosher foods or items is utilised to make kosher foods, the food can no longer be labelled as kosher until it is cleaned according to Kosher certificate.
