The IPL 2025 mega auction began with excitement on Day 1. Rishabh Pant was the biggest star, sold to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for ?27 crore. In total, ?467.95 crore was spent on 72 players. Shreyas Iyer joined Punjab Kings (PBKS) for ?26.75 crore, while Venkatesh Iyer was bought back by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for ?23.75 crore. Indian bowlers were in demand too. Arshdeep Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal both went to PBKS for ?18 crore each. However, 12 players were not picked.
