GIFs are not only small but also usually low-resolution and limited frameworks, yet the format is becoming an internet lover. It has been an early example of something you can't do in print online and remains popular today, despite the dramatic increase of high-quality web video formats. It has remained largely unchanged since its founding in the 1980s. Apparently that only impresses the humble GIF.
