This is a valid question to raise, and one that deserves some thoughtful consideration. It is easy to see how someone could think that modeling is degrading when you consider that it is men who pay the bills for most of the models in the fashion industry, even though women do the majority of job modeling and they do it with a lot more dignity and class than their male counterparts. However, one would be hard-pressed to say that modeling is degrading simply because there are plenty of women out there who are extremely successful in the fashion industry without having to model for anyone.
