There were multiple times in the tour that the decisions taken by umpires were not conclusive. On such an occasion, Kohli suggested there should be an “I don’t know” call for the on-field umpires. He also raised questions over the soft signal rule. While a number of experts have different opinions on the same, David Llyod did not like the reaction from Indian national cricket team captain Virat Kohli. He said, “Virat Kohli also suggested England were pressuring umpires to give the ‘soft signal’ as out when Dawid Malan took a low catch in the fourth T20. Firstly, the soft signal is there to leave as much authority as possible with the on-field umpires.”
