The second harmonic generation efficiency of BBO crystals varies in different wavelength ranges. In the ultraviolet spectral region, the second harmonic generation efficiency of the BBO crystal is very high, and the laser with a wavelength of 266nm can be converted into a laser with a wavelength of 133nm. In the visible spectral region, the second harmonic generation efficiency of BBO crystals is relatively low, but it can still convert laser light with a wavelength of 800nm into a laser light with a wavelength of 400nm. In addition, BBO crystals can also be used to generate optical signals in other wavelength ranges such as laser light with a wavelength of 1.5 μm.
