Also known as Indian Pennywort, Brahmi, Gotu Kola is an herbaceous perennial plant belonging to the family of Apiaceae. The stem of Gotu Kola is slender, creeping, and green to reddish-green in color. It contains triterpenoid, mainly asiaticoside and brahmoside. It is used both for culinary and medicinal purposes.
