Acuity Brands Login - How to Login Acuity Brands The company that Isadore M. Weinstein created, Atlanta Linen Supply, became the foundation for Acuity Brands in 1919. After serving in World War I, Weinstein launched his own company renting towels, uniforms, and linens. Prior to that, he worked in the towel supply industry in Cleveland. In 1920, he changed the company’s name to the Southern Linen Service Corporation and opened several facilities throughout the South. As National Linen Service Corporation, the business went public in 1928. As it grew, it eventually reached markets on the west coast and in the southwest. The business had a New York Stock Exchange listing by 1944.
