Active participle in Arabic |ismu lf`il - Al-dirassa
In Arabic, the noun used for the doer of an action (subject), is called ismu lf`ili. It is formed by adding an alif - to the first radical of the verb fa`ala. The middle letter is given a kasrah -i and the last radical is given a tanween. The active participle pattern will be fa`ilun.
