According to the Hindu calendar, the 9-night festival is a part of the four seasonal Navratris. This famous festival of Navratri is called Chaitra Navratri, where different forms of Maa Durga are worshipped for nine days. Navratri day 4 rituals are dedicated to the Goddess Kushmanda Devi who is popularly known as Ashtabhuja Devi (The Goddess with eight hands). Devotees organize puja and observe fast in order to get the divine blessings of Maa Kushmanda. The red colour is considered the prominent colour on the 4th day of Navratri.
